Acer Future Keyboard
Visually striking, this butterfly-shaped ergonomic keyboard with an integrated circular touchpad is so comfortable it could become habit forming. Two large oval wrist pads bring your hands into an ergonomically correct typing position, and a touchpad is located between the sections of the split keyboard. Arrow keys encircle the pad so you can quickly move the cursor up, down, left or right. $99 Acer America Corp., 800-SEE-ACER, 408-432-6200. Winfo #577. Go To Full Review
Microsoft IntelliMouse
The Microsoft IntelliMouse proves you can teach an old mouse new tricks. The wheel between the IntelliMouse's two standard buttons lets you scroll your document by resting your finger on the wheel and rolling it, or by pressing the wheel and moving the mouse. Either method gives you the same result as that obtained by clicking on and dragging the down arrow of a navigation bar. When you move the cursor, one of five large arrow cursors appears to indicate the direction of movement. Clicking the wheel once for AutoScroll activates the teleprompter mode, automatically scrolling the document at a speed you select. The IntelliMouse software also lets you assign functions to wheel-access the Start menu, invoke the Help system, access the system shell or act as a double click. $85 Microsoft Corp., 800-426-9400, 206-882-8080.
