If, as crash insurance, you usually use the Separate Memory Space feature when you run 16-bit programs in NT, you can do a Registry hack to enable that feature by default. Run the Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WOW\ and set the DefaultSeparateVDM value to "yes" with all letters in lowercase. When you run 16-bit apps, the box will appear unchecked, but the feature will be enabled.
