With the Internet's popularity soaring, multimedia capability in a notebook is no longer an option but a neccessity. The Micron TransPort XKE has full multimedia features plus direct cellular connectivity. The notebook is powered by a 166MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology and has a modular 20X CD-ROM drive. Other features include a PCI bus, with a 128-bit graphics accelerator with 2MB DRAM and SoundBlaster 16-bit stereo sound. The CD-ROM drive's new AutoPlay feature lets you listen to CDs without powering up the notebook. The unit ships with 32MB RAM, 512KB of level 2 pipeline-burst cache and a 3GB hard drive. The display is a 13.3-inch XGA TFT. The TransPort includes a 33.6Kbps integrated modem with full-duplex telephony capability. The notebook measures 2.1 by 12.2 by 9.9 inches and weighs 7.2 pounds with battery and floppy disk drive. From $5,199
